Boarding for Cats

Monrovia Animal Medical Center offers cat boarding as a courtesy to our regular patients and clients. Visit our pristine boarding facility any time during regular business hours; ask to see it! We require a physical exam annually by a veterinarian from this hospital. If you are a first-time client to our hospital, your cat’s first wellness exam by the doctor is only $50, plus your cat receives 1-day FREE boarding within the first 90 days of your first visit. The doctor is on the premises every day and supervises the well-being of your cat.

Vaccination Requirements

The following vaccines must have been administered within the last twelve months or 36 months depending on age of cat: FVRCP, FeLV and Rabies, and the cat must have had negative FIV & FeLV tests prior to vaccination. If your cat is senior, a 100% indoor cat and no longer receives the FeLV vaccine, a negative FeLV test must have been performed within the last 3 years. If your cat does not receive his/her vaccinations at this facility, you must show written documentation that verifies current vaccinations and verifies your cat tested negative for FIV & FeLV prior to vaccination. A kitten record book is not sufficient documentation. If any vaccines are past due, your cat must be vaccinated before boarding for his/her protection and for the protection of other boarding cats.

Boarding Agreement

Diet & Parasite Free Environment

Monrovia Animal Medical Center strives to be a flea-free hospital. All cats will receive a complimentary Capstar tablet when they arrive. This is to ensure that they have no fleas while boarding at our hospital. When you board your cat with Monrovia Animal Medical Center, we will serve a high quality canned food to your cats during their stay. We will be pleased to feed a special diet of your choice, if you bring it with you.

What To Bring

Please bring the appropriate amount of medications your cat will need while boarding with us and provide directions on how to administer your cat’s medication. Fees for medications that need to be filled or refilled during the time your cat is boarded will be added to your bill. In the event your cat becomes ill, you will be asked to authorize a form allowing us to initiate appropriate treatment until you can be reached. You are welcome to bring your cat’s bed and/or toys if he/she has them; however, we provide a cat hutch and plenty fresh towels daily. Boarding patrons are required to sign a Medical Care Plan at time of drop off. Payment in full is due at the time of pick-up.
